PregScan Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Appzoho (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use PregScan (the “App”). We built PregScan with privacy as a first principle: we collect only what is necessary to make the App work, and you remain in control of your data.

By using PregScan, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.

We collect the minimum information required to deliver the App's features. Specifically:

• Profile details you provide during onboarding — your first name and age — used only to personalise your experience.
• Photos you capture or upload to analyse the result lines of your pregnancy test and to build your personal scan history.
• Basic device information such as device type, operating system version, and an anonymous device identifier used to link your data to your device.
• Usage data such as interactions within the App, which help us diagnose issues and improve the experience.
• We do not collect your name-based account credentials, email address, or password — the App works without an account.

Images are central to how PregScan works. When you capture or select a photo, it is securely uploaded to our storage provider and to analyse the result lines of your pregnancy test and to build your personal scan history.

Your images remain linked to your history so you can revisit them. They are never sold, and they are never used for advertising. You can delete any image at any time, and doing so removes it permanently from our storage.

We generate a random, anonymous identifier for your device so that your profile and history can be associated with you without requiring an account. This identifier is not linked to your real-world identity and cannot be used to contact you.

We may collect limited, aggregated usage data — such as feature usage and crash diagnostics — to keep the App reliable and to guide improvements. This data is used in a way that does not identify you personally.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the App's core features.
• Personalise your experience (for example, greeting you by name).
• Store and display your history so you can return to past results.
• Diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and improve performance and reliability.
• Comply with legal obligations where applicable.

PregScan uses artificial intelligence to power its core experience. We use Google Gemini to interpret the test lines in your photo and generate a plain-language result, confidence score and recommendations.

The relevant image and context are transmitted securely to the AI provider for processing and a structured result is returned to the App. AI calls are made from a secure server environment; provider credentials are never embedded in the App.

AI-generated interpretations are probabilistic and may be inaccurate. They are provided for informational purposes only. Please review the provider's own data-handling terms, linked in the Third-party Services section, for details on how they process submitted data.

Your data is stored using Supabase (secure cloud storage and database). Access is protected so that a device may only read and write its own records. Scan images and results are kept, linked to your history, until you delete them. Deleting a history item — or choosing “Delete my data” — permanently removes the entry and its stored image and thumbnail.

We rely on a small number of trusted service providers to operate the App. These providers process data only as needed to perform their services and are bound by their own privacy commitments:

• Google Gemini — AI image analysis of your pregnancy-test photo (https://ai.google.dev/gemini-api/terms).
• Supabase — Encrypted database and image storage (https://supabase.com/privacy).

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls scoped to your device, and least-privilege data access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

PregScan is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Depending on your location, you may have rights over your personal data, including the right to access, correct, export, or delete it, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Because the App stores your data on your own device and in storage scoped to you, you can exercise most of these rights directly within the App.

• Access & correction — view and edit your profile in Settings at any time.
• Portability — request a copy of your data by contacting us.
• Deletion — remove individual records or erase all of your data from within the App (see below).

You are always in control of your data. You can permanently delete it at any time:

Open PregScan and go to the Settings tab. Tap “Privacy” and then “Delete my data”. Confirm. This permanently removes your profile, every scan record, and all stored images and thumbnails. To remove a single scan instead, open History, swipe the item and tap Delete.

Deletion is immediate and irreversible. You may also email support@appzoho.com to request deletion, and we will action your request within 1–2 business days.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the App or for legal reasons. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you within the App. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
